Amazing fundraising
Haven supporters come up with some wacky ideas to raise much needed funds
Some people really go out of their way to help others!
Katherine Ready and Lucinda Brimicombe, the two UK based physiotherapists who volunteered their expertise at a Physio camp held in our centre in January 2009, ran the half marathon in Nottingham on the 12th of September 2010 and helped to raise £6,000! Amazing fundraising indeed, thank you ladies!
Sanjay Thakrar, took part in the Flora London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2009 . In order to raise funds for Haven, Sanjay had set himself the monumental task of running 26 gruelling miles through the streets of London. Not only did he complete the task in respectable time (5hours 10 minutes), he raised £1500.00 for Haven! Thank you, Sanjay!

Tim Leeke's efforts in the 2004 Stockholm Marathon raised £1800 for Haven through sponsorship. Thank you, Tim!
Callum Morgan raised £450 through sponsorship by having all of his hair shaved off! And, what's more Toni & Guy in Woking gave their services for free.
Sponsored sari day at Guildford High School raised £300. Six pupils of the school took part; they even made the morning journey to school by train sari-clad and waving lacrosse sticks at the other surprised passengers!
