Blood Donation Camp December 2010
Promising support from the local community helps to reduce patient referral costs
The blood donation camp took place at the community centre on the 12th of December. An encouraging number of 60 donors from the local communities came forward, this means we will receive 60 "cards" from the national blood donation service. These donor cards will allow us to help referred patients from our medical camps to receive free blood during surgical procedures. To further encourage and build confidence among the local villagers Ashis Dutt, the manager of our centre, stepped up to the task and volunteered to donate his own blood
Allegra and Catherine, the two gap students who were at the centre during the blood donation camp, proved to be of great help and allowed the camp to run smoothly.
