Cancer Camp June 2007
Haven supporters in India secure the services of consultant oncologists and radiologists from the renowned Thakupukur Cancer Hospital.
This senior medical team kindly volunteered their services for the period of 16th-17th June 2007, when a Cancer Camp was held at the community centre. During these two days, over 100 patients were seen by the team of specialists. The patients had travelled from distances up to 40km and came from over 30 surrounding villages. Staff at the centre worked very hard to ensure the camp ran smoothly.
