Gynaecological Camp November 2007
Specialists help hundreds of women in the field of medicine that is virtually non-existent in the local neighbourhood
The first ever Gynaecological Camp wa
s held at the centre on the 17th and 18th November 2007 thanks to Ashis Dutt, the Manager of the community centre, who successfully secured the services of three gynaecologists. Dr. Subash and Dr. Sipra Sinha are a husband and wife team who along with their son, generously volunteerd their time to help the local community. The gynaecological camp was received very enthusiastically by local villagers as this type of medical care is desperately lacking throughout the local region; the camp served approximately 100 women from neighbouring villages. Several Haven members attended at the same time to help oversee the smooth running of the camp.
