Orthopaedic Camp April 2008
Gruelling hours of field labour takes its toll on hundreds of impoverished villagers
The first Orthopedic Camp was held at the Centre on 12th and 13th April 2008. We were fortunate to have the services of a top Orthopedic Surgeon from Kolkata who kindly volunteered his services to examine over 100 patients. Due to the intensity of physical labour in the fields required from the villagers, demand for this camp was very high. Dr Sanjay Bhattachariya (Orthopedic Surgeon) was assisted by our resident Physiotherapist and part of the MBCF medical team. Two patients were referred and their treatment will be sponsored by Haven.
