"Virtual" Fundraising
The first ever "Virtual BBQ" supported by friends of Haven, in May 2007, is a huge success and raises £2,600.
Adverse weather conditions put a stop to Haven's fundraising BBQ this year. But when friends and supporters were asked to donate what they would have spent whilst attending the BBQ to an appeal fund for three critically ill children, the response was simply amazing! A total of nearly £3,000 was raised thanks to everyone's kindness and generosity. This covered all medical costs for the three critical heart patients identified during the paediatric camp. All open heart surgeries were successful and the patients, who are all very young children, are living healthy, pain free lives. Here are two of the children with smiles on their faces
